I last posted an update in 1999, so a few things have changed, but it's all good. I completed my MBA at Berkeley in the full time program in the spring of 2004 and have been happy to subsequently focus much larger amounts of my time on the medical device start-up I founded in 2002 just before starting at Berkeley. I have really enjoyed the work I am involved in, and am grateful to still feel that although work is work, it can be very fulfilling even when using a gospel lens. I do hope I maintain some balance in life by spending time with my wife, working in my calling as Ward Mission leader, and taking time to build furniture in my woodshop whenever I can. There never seems to be enough time for everything, but there’s more than enough time for the important things. I love the Bay Area here in California, but I do miss the mountains I lived so close to while growing up in Salt Lake. Someday I may go back, but not for now. Silicone Valley is a great place to be.
My wife Alie is finishing up her JD in May and is getting anxious to take the California Bar in July. We have had a rough go trying to have kids so far, but I think it will happen soon.
