Stories: Ducha Caliente!

Ducha Caliente! 21 Dec 2005
Elder Hendrickson and I decided to install a ducha caliente in our flat in Buena Fe. After the installation, Elder Hendrickson had to be the first to try it out. He turned on the water and then flipped on the ducha. Never having installed one before, we didn't realize the need to connect the ground wire to something other than the ducha itself! As Elder Hendrickson is screaming for me to unplug the ducha, I frantically run towards the plug. But before I can unplug it, the entire house (including the 2 floors below us) goes black!!! Thank goodness for fuses! Our house was without light for 2 days until we found a store that sold fuses. Yikes - it was an 'enlightening' experience for us.
