UPDATE: My youngest son, Marty, started his mission Dec 19, 2001 serving in the Tennessee, Nashville mission.
Update April 2003: I retired from the Air Force in August last year. I feel like I didn't retire, I just changed offices. I now teach Air Force Jr ROTC at the high school. I have 175 students and it is a challenge I really enjoy. Dec 15, 2001, 4 days before Martin entered the MTC, I deployed to the Middle east during Enduring Freedom. In Jan my oldest son deployed and then in Feb my second son, also in the Air Force deployed. We were not all three at the same base but because I worked at a headquarters I was able to travel to the different countries and see them. What an experience that drove Javonna nuts. I am now quietly at home and serving as the Branch President. My jobs in school and church keep me very busy. Any of my old companions please write or call.
