Comments:
My home town was Ft. Myers, Florida, and Pres. Winder allowed me to serve in areas away from home at the age of 19. There were three others who were also "illegitimate." We were a mighty force for good, however, and each one of us left our mark for good. Being a native of Florida, I was also personally acquainted with Pres. Lyman. One of my sons is named for him. All three of these great leaders served with all their hearts and surely left a mighty impact on the south and the church there. My sweet husband and I have a combined family of 13 children with 10 spouses, and 20 grandchildren. We live in Utah now, but the south will always be my home. I served with Kathryn Pay, Judee Thompson, Carolyn Lamoreau, Jean Germer, and Afton Johnson.
