There are a few priceless experiences I have had so far in my life, and my mission is one of them. It's been an anchor to me in many aspects: the friends I made, the testimony I came to understand, the opportunity I had to share my testimony and my relationship with Heavenly Father.
I am married and have the opportunity to be a mom to two stepchildren, a niece and a baby boy. Our oldest, Tonya, 20,, was married in December. Doug just turned 19 and is working, Teresa, 19, our neice is engaged to be married in May and Samuel, 19 months, is a wonderful handful of all-boy antics.
I met my husband while I was the editor of The Preston Citizen, a job I held for eight years, before Sam was born. Now I write an occasional story for them, teach one hour of journalism at the high school and stay home the rest of the day with Sammy.
Right now I am the first counselor in the Relief Society in our ward - a position that I enjoy because of the amazing Relief Society president we have.
