Comments:
My wife is a returned missionary from Idaho. We met at a YSA conference just after I returned from France. We have six children - 5 girls! Our son Spencer served in the Japan Tokyo mission. He returned in March '09. A while ago, I called a family we baptized in Versailles who now live in the south of France. I heard they had stopped attending church. After thirty plus years, my French being painfully inadequate, and thousands of miles away; I reminded her of what a special time our visits were. Over the phone line I could feel the same sweet Spirit that characterized our meetings so long ago as she replied, "Oui, ils ont été très précieux, très précieux." It was really a great experience to serve in France. It helped me form a relationship with the Holy Spirit, to hear that voice and know its character. We're loving life in California. Just 50 miles away from the notorious San Andreas fault, any day could be an earthquake - now that's adventure!
