| Served: 1996 - 1998 | Areas Served: Aiken, SC; Dublin, GA; Auburn, AL; Columbus, GA; Savannah, GA; Albany, GA | Companions: Heather Alice Hansen (Bell) | Lisa Marie Hymas | Ruth J. Van Wie (Tarr) | Comments: Well, a lot has transpired since I left the mission field! I graduated with my Masters degree in August, 2002 in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) in the Linguistics department at BYU. Then I moved to Palo Alto, California for a year where President Jacobsen was my Stake President! I currently work at BYU as faculty at the English Language Center in the Linguistics department. Since my mission I lived in Taiwan for 6 months doing an internship, visited Uganda in Africa for 6 weeks doing volunteer teaching and AIDS prevention education, and I recently returned from China where my job sent me to teach legal English to Chinese prosecutors for a semester. Being single still has allowed me to move around a lot, I suppose. Anyway, I am happy and hope all of you are doing well! |

| LDS QUOTE: |
|
"You are a great army of returned missionaries. Go forward with new zeal and determination, and through your example shine the light of the gospel in this troubled world. This is the Lord's work in which we are engaged. God lives. Jesus is the Christ. We belong to His Church. This is my witness to you in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."
