I've been lucky to make it back several times to Germany and even worked there for a while. I met my wife, Katja, at a young adult conference in Braunschweig. She is from Saarbruecken. Getting married was the best thing I ever did. Becoming a dad has made life even better.

I now live in Germany. We are on the Bodensee near the Alps. I have an assignment to work in Radolfzell for two to three years.
We are back in the states since 2004 and we are having a difficult time adjusting. We miss the quality of life in Germany (read Baeckeri, Metzgerei, Aldi, Bodensee, Fussgaengerzone, 6 Wochen Urlaub, Strassenpflaster, Fachwerkhaeuser, deutsche Gemuetlichkeiten, Stadtbrunnen). Since my wife is from Germany we are trying to speak only German to the kids, but they are starting to answer in English. We live in West Hartford, CT.
