Elder Jovet just left his family to fly to Ghana through London, he entered the MTC on the 26th. We are very happy and excited for him. We await letters telling us all about his wonderful experiences.

Here is one of Elder Jovet's recent letters:
Well I'm out in the feild and livin it up. If you can call sleeping under a bug screen in a dirty apartment living. Actually the house is huge! It could easily fit six elders with two berooms and two bathrooms but Its just me and elder Koranteng. I'm serving in a town called Lartebiokoshie try saying that a few times fast. it looks like a scene straight out of any christians children fund commercial. The other day we rode by a school yard and all of the children followed us for blocks shouting Obruni
Which is slang for white boy. Well it can be surreal out here at times. I'm picking up Twi pretty quick. It really makes the locals smile when i try to speak it. I'm also learning to eat Fufu, Banku and other balled up goop that you break off and dip in some spicy sauce. Everyone here uses the same bowl and no one uses soap until after the meal because who wants to taste soap when you can taste dirt and bacteria. Sanitary? Maybe not, but now I'm glad i used to eat dirt in kindergarten because i think it prepared my immune system. Hey thanks for the endless stream of letters and E-mails because If I did not have that stack of mail I might think you all forgot about me. So far I got mail from dad, David, Grandma and the Hinze family...
