  • Comments: One night, while on splits with my district leader, We were robbed at gun piont. Before the robbery, at 9:20PM, under my choice, we ended a discussion prematurely and headed home. On the way home, right before the robbery, we were talking about the rule we had which stated that we needed to be in our houses by 9:30PM. I argued that it was important and for such a reason ended the discussion in order to obey the rule and not keep our investigators up too late. My district leader argued that the rule wasn't very important and that I should always finish or teach discussions even if I had to break a few rules to do it. The thieves took a fifty Quetzal bill and a ten dollar bill from my district leader, all in all about 90 quetzales. They took nothing from me, however. I was carrying more than 125 Quetzales at the time. Who was right about the rule? You be the judge.

  • Comments: It took me 14 years to find my eternal mate, but it finally happened. I have been married to my beautiful, wonderful wife Karen Hinck since March 1991. She joined the church three years later and we were sealed in 1996. Our children are Kaelen (6), Austin (4), Joshua (18 m) and one on the way. My favorite area was San Francisco Gotera. Any news about it? Best "zone" activities: hiking Atitlan, post earthquake demolition, climbing Chaparastique, Pete's Yacht Club, futbol en La Barra. Would love to go back and see how the church has grown.

We have 4 kids three boys and a girl. I started my carrier as an A/C / heating mechanic. After several years I went to work at the Portland Oregon Temple as an Assistant Engineer. I was transfered to the Boise Idaho Temple. I am the AV engineer with responsiblities with the heating and A/C also. I realy LOVE it.
