Comments: I Am a Senior Purchasing Manager at American Express. I
graduated from BYU in 1979 and then moved to LA.
I met and married Stephanie there in 1980. I was in the Air
Force for 5 years. I am now a Major in the AF Reserve.
We have 3 girls and 3 boys.
We have lived in CA, NC, TX, OH, TN, AZ and now UT.
I am a moving fool. Between learning Cakchiquel, doing
the Encuesta for 3 months and the Feb 76 earthquake and
2 months of clean-up and the usual Guatemala mission the
two years I spent in Guatemala were very life affecting. I
see Taz, Frischknecht, Richman, Larson, Howard,
Standifird, and Ellsworth from the Indian days from time to
time. I am currently the Young Men's President and it helps
my teenagers think I am not such a bad guy after all.

Skyline College and saved for BYU. Graduated from BYU in 1978 in business and married Bonnie
Lange in 1979 the day after she graduated from BYU. We lived in Arizona for three years and
then moved to Houston to start a financial consulting business in 1982. Post-graduate studies
followed for me until I completed my ChFc degree in Financial Consulting.
Bonnie and I
have six boys ranging in age from seventeen to three, Bryce, Blair, Cody, Clint,
Christian, and Gordon. They are all house-broken for the most part, but sometimes
don't aim
too well much to Bonnie's dismay. We love all kinds of sports, especially
basketball. Playing
hoops in the backyard is a favorite pastime activity. Other things the boys like
include
playing with legos, guns, knives, and any other convenient weapons, house demolition, and
wrestling. Their favorite scripture/spiritual moment is when Ammon chops off all the
Lamanite
bad guys arms. Skirting the outside edges of legal insanity is an interesting way of
life.
However, we have been blessed with good kids who make our lives rich and complete.
Bryce and Blair are ENJOYING early morning seminary, (good missionary preparation, puts
hair on
your chest). But hey, Bryce gets to drive! Bonnie is in the primary and I am
ward executive
secretary. Between family and church we don't have time to get into trouble.
Here we are in
Houston where the summers are hot and humid, just like our beloved mission. What a
memory,
where you could sweat and become soaking wet by just sitting and doing nothing. But,
we have
no snow and such wonderful winters. Life is good, isn't it! And thank heaven
for the
wonderful, most ingenious, stupendous, absolutely celestial invention of AIR CONDITIONING!

my sons get closer to mission age. After my mission, I graduated from BYU in 1975 with a
degree in Finance, then from Northwestern University (Evanston, Illinois) with an MBA in 1976.
After working for a couple of firms (one large, one small), I opened my own accounting and tax
practice in Vacaville in 1989. I married Joanne Schippman in 1976; we've had 5 children, 1 of
whom passed away in 1982. Now have 4 boys, ages 18, 16, 12, and 7. Our oldest, Kyle, is a
freshman at BYU, and plans to leave on a mission next year. Church service has included
teaching Seminary and Gospel Doctrine; I'm now 2nd Counselor in our Bishopric (Dayton Call and
his family are in our ward). Interests include sports, travel, and music. Life is a blast!

Comments: After my mission I returned to BYU where I graduated in 1976. I won a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford University where I studied medicine. I came back to the U.S. and graduated from the University of Utah in 1981, then trained in obstetrics and gynecolgy at the University of Louisville and UCLA. I married Jane Bennion of Los Angeles in 1986 (worth the wait) and we went to the Bay Area where I graduated from Stanford Law School in 1989. We then came to Phoenix, where I am still in practice (though I gratefully don't have to practice law for a living). I have the best job in medicine, helping people have children. Jane and I have found children, ranging from 9 to 3 years of age. We're vey busy and happy. My parents will return soon from a mission to Cambodia--I love their spirit. My cousin Jim went to the mission soon after I left, and I visited him in El Salvador when I worked for the Ministry of Public Health the summer of 1975. Comments: I came home from my mission and went to college studing marine biology. I then returned to Guatemala after the earthquake. I talked with Mark E. Peterson one of the 12 at the time, he was at our stake conferance. He told me about Randy Ellsworth getting hurt. I wanted to go back so bad I figured out a way. Some times you have to be unreasonable to meet you goal. Brother Peterson told me to find a group to go down with so I might be useful. I went down with the Seattle indian health board. I mostly delivered medical supplies to feild hospitals. I was there for a couple months helping out, it was an experiance of a life time.
I than returned home and went to work as an assitant Biologist, we did the enviomental impact statement for the submirine base at Bangor, WA. While I was there I got accepted into a vocational school that taught fire service training, it wasnt long and I went to work as a fireman.
I than went back to college to become a paramedic. I did that for 12 years and I am now the Fire Marshal of the City of Bremerton, WA. I met my wife at a church dance at the University of Washington (Who always bets BYU). We were married in the Oakland, California Temple. We have 2 kids Troy 18 and Carrie 16. Troy is attending CWU and just qualified for nationals in spring board diving. Our Daughter just started driving. I can't believe how fast time flys. I'd love to hear from any of you.
