In July 1965 the Central American Mission was split into two missions: Guatemala-El Salvador Mission with President Terrence Hansen as president with headquarters in Guatemala City and the rest of Central American countries (Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama) as Central American Mission with president Ted Brewerton as president with headquarters in San Jose Costa Rica.
I was baptized in San Marcos, Guatemala in May of 1962, one year before I started my full time mission
