Comments: After graduating from BYU in chemical engineering, I moved to hot Houston, TX where I live with my wife and 3 kids. We love the diversity here and we have several Guatemalan families in my ward.
I'm currently working as an IT manager for a surviving dot com in the chemical industry and Im finishing off an MBA at the University of Houston. My current church calling is varsity scout leader.
I finally got to return to Guatemala in Nov 2003 after 12 years! It was awesome. I was able to see all my old areas except for Huehuetenango. I must say, I think things have improved for Guatemala. I found the roads and the food to be better than I remember. The people just as friendly as I remember. I ran into a whole bunch of members from Pajapita in a Saturday stake conference meeting. It was cool to see that they still remembered me after all these years.
I also got to tour the rest of Guatemala and after seeing the rest of Guatemala, I'm glad I served in the Xela mission. It was the best! |
