Mission Xela was the best! I have kept my connections with Latin America through my wife, you might recognize her name, Sister Chavez (Mirna Patricia Chavez). She is originally from San Salvador, El Salvador. I bet that shocks a few people right out of their socks. We both went back to visit her family this past Christmas, and we also made a trip to Guatemala (Antigua and Panajachel). It is just amazing how beautiful it is down there! I am now finishing up my teaching degree at Seattle Pacific University. If you recognize my "apellido", then send me an email, I'd love to hear from somebody from the Xela "mara".
