After my mission, I finished my Bachelor's degree at BYU in 1987 (being roommates with Steve Petters and Verlin Youd), and then went to graduate school in Boston (Harvard) from 87 to 91. In Boston I had a chance to work with many Haitians--some of them RMs, such as Pierre Gerssain Excellent, Roosevelt Bernard, and Arnould Eyma.
In 1991, I moved to Iowa City and have been here at the university since then (except for one Sabbatical year at BYU in 2000-01, when I lived next door to Tim Mullins). I'm originally from Missouri, so being in Iowa is convenient for me to visit parents and siblings on holidays. Iowa City is about 90 miles from Nauvoo, so I go there a lot, especially with the reconstructed temple there. If anyone wants to visit the area, I'd be happy to be tour guide.
