Greetings,

To all of you great missionaries Sister Perkins and I send our love and best wishes to you that your lives may be rich and full and punctuated by the fact that you are doing all in your power to build up the Kingdom of God here on this earth.

We have had a year of reunions. First was the UV Perkins (my grandfather) reunion in Moapa, Nevada in June. This was followed by a reunion of all of Ella H. Perkins' (my mother) descendants. which was held in American Fork, Utah. Then we had the 60th reunion of Moapa Valley High School in Logandale, Nevada. I was the Senior class president in 1945, but this was not mluch of an honor since we only had 22 in our graduating class. Finally, on the 15th of this month (October) we will hold a Whitney (my grandmother on my father's side was Lovina Ellen Whitney). in Logandale, Nevada.

We were pleasantly surprised last October (2004) when David Bednar, from BYU Ricks, was called to the Quorum of the Twelve. His grandfather, Stowell Whitney, and my grandmother,Lovina Ellen Whitney Perkins, were brother and sister. Elder Bednar's mother was raised in Logandale, Nevada.

Finally, we were thrilled to be able to take our children and their spouses on a trip to Switzerland to see my maternal grandfather's (Hafen) home in Scherzingen, SW and my my maternal grandmother's (Stucki) home-site in Rothenbach, SW. What a delightful time we all had together.

Our love to all of you eternally,

President and Sister Perkins
