Comments:
I returned home and married in the temple in 1975. Went to school some, had three children. I worked in the Air Conditioning industry in the Phoenix Metro area in new home construction as an engineer and supervisor eventually owning my own company. Divorced in 1982, becoming a single parent to three and remarried in the temple in 1885 to Kerry Otteson who became mother to my first three and then two of our own making a total of five, three boys and two girls. All three boys are returned missionaries. Three oldest are married, all in the temple, each having a child. For three years, we had three foster children, now ages 14 to 17, in our home until their father was able to take them back last year. We were happy to be able to serve them in such a stressful time in their lives.

I contracted CFIDS/ME (Chronic Fatigue Immune Deficiency Syndrome/ Myalgic Encephalomyelitis) in 1985, which has compromised my health significantly and impacted my ability to earn a living, so my wife and I have switched roles. She teaches school and I am a house dad. Currently, I am helping her earn her Masters in Special Education.

I have served in many normal ward assignments as health has permitted and as an ordinance worker in the Mesa Arizona Temple, but my illness has restricted what I can do. Currently, at the writing of this, (March 10, 2008), I am serving as the Membership Clerk in the Queen Creek Arizona Chandler Heights Stake, which is a very dynamically growing area. Since we became a presidency five years ago, we have created sixteen wards and Four Stakes.

As hobbies, because of my divorce, I am interested in and an advocate for men/father related issues of abuse/divorce/child custody in LDS Families. If I had the health, I would like to be a family counselor, but illness has prevented that up to this point. I also compose and arrange music, mostly religious, submitting two works so far to the Church for the Hymn and Hymn text sections. I will soon have a website up offering my work for use.
