The Public Affairs Activities in Indonesia. Since last year the Public Affairs activities of the LDS church in Indonesia has been grown up so fast. Elder Subandriyo and The Directorate of Christian Affairs Dept had create a better relationship, and they planned some programs in the future. One of the program we want to share to all kepurina members was the presentation of general information of the LDS church to christian teachers all around Indonesia, of course some of them are preachers. We are (Jemmy Mongan & wife Indah, Bro. Hendro Suranto, Bro. King Hwie and Bro. Sutarno) as a team of church Public Affairs in Indonesia, were very proud to be a part of this activities. The presentation had been enjoyed by hundreds of christian teachers from East Java Province, Central Java Province and all around Indonesia Province, and they were surprised when they heard all the true information about the church such as, the organisation, the book and church magazine, the temples, the fast offering & tithing, the humanitarian project and the lessons program for all members from prymary to adult. They also admired the family home evening program. Many of them finally made a confession that since they were kid they got a totally wrong information about the Mormons, and they grew up with that false information, and when they become teachers or preachers they gave the same false information to the students and congregations. They said "Two Thumbs up" for the Mormons. Today there are so many of them are asking for scriptures, church and book magazines to send to their home, and of course the missionaries become part of this job. We have also good cooperation with Radio Bahana (family radio) freq FM 101.8, one of the famous radio station at Jakarta, to have a radio talk show about family home evening every Wednesday 7-8 pm, many church members enjoyed the talk show with their family and share to the listener about the importance of family. We were happy to become part of it and we will do whatever Lord want us to do to bring the church out of obscurity gradually and eventualy. In the name of Jesust Chist. Amin.
