Cool story- my last baptism was in Varese when I was in the office with Pres. Lotito. Fratello Ronga was converted by his employee Fratello Bulgarelli. After overcoming a huge word of wisdom obstacle and going through heart attacks and open-heart surgery, he was baptized. I confirmed him and remember promising he would become a great leader and bring many to the restored gospel (much to everyone's surprise). I lost track of his address and I was thinking that he had passed away because of his heart problems. 22 years later I came to Italy and asked a member in Varese if he was still around, she said "Oh you mean Pres. Ronga? he was Branch Pres. for 16 years and brought many people into the church!, now he's a temple worker!"- Don't ever doubt a promise spoken by the gift of the Holy Ghost! |
