I'm still in Oklahoma and a very busy mom to four kids: Natalie, Tristan, Caroline, and Elisa. We recently bought our "dream house" out in the country and I find myself in a branch as small as the ones I served in during my mission. (In fact, I'm sure Verona was bigger.) I was just called into the Stake YW Presidency (if you think you all are surprised, imagine how everyone here reacted) My second child was recently baptized which means I now have two second-generation church members in our little family. I can't tell you what that means to my fellow-convert husband and I. I reflect often on the experiences I had as a full-time missionary and use them quite a bit while teaching the youth in the church. I guess that's why it's hard to believe I've been home as long as I have. I think of many of you and treasure the time we had together in bella Italia. |
