I think the time is long overdue to recognize the McRae's for their outstanding leadership. Elder and Sister McRae finished their 18 month mission in June of 1996. While at home in Canada they were preparing for a wonderful Christmas at home with their family. Due to President Kallunki's illness, the McRae's (who knew everything about the mission and the administration of it) returned in December 1996 and served in the capacity of President and Mission Mother until a new President was called (Charles Martin) in March 1997. What a great sacrifice they made for the Mission, the missionaries, and the members at that time. |
