After returning to NZ after my mission I went back to Japan and married Ikuko Ishikawa. After finishing university I worked for the government as an economist and then spent 4 years posted to the NZ embassy in Tokyo as a Trade Commissioner. In 1993 I left the public service and started my own company which sells computer gear via the internet. We have 4 children and 6 grand-children. Our only daughter married a RM who also served his mission in Japan.
