Doug Dance-snow diving 28 May 2007
This happened in the winter of 1976-77. we were in the Iwamizawa branch. We had a 2nd floor apaato and it really snowed one night, and had been snowing all week. There was probably 5-6 ft of snow that had accumulated below our balcony. Elder Dance got the idea to jump off the balcony into the deep snow bank. He dressed up in his Hokkaido coat. mittens, rubber ducks and gloves. I have pictures somewhere of it all and must get them on here. anyway. He flipped off of the balcony and landed on his back. He was almost totally invisible in the snow bank. I think only part of a shoe was showing. Thankfully, he was just fine. Very funny but dangerous.
