Stories: Houses in Hakodate and Kita
Displaying 1 - 1 of 1 -- Add Story
In 1973, we had a great house in Hakodate with a huge garden and sliding doors across a huge expanse of windows in the front hall. Hachiman-cho 12-1 (strange things stick in your memory as you age...) It was the meeting house, too. I remember waking up one morning a few days after I got there in December as a greeny - there was a snow drift next to my futon. Terrific members there, too.
When I was in Sapporo Kita we lived in a house. It was always a thrill to be teaching a lesson and listen to the rats running around between the downstairs ceiling and the upstairs floor. I'll never forget Grow Choro tying a blanket around his neck as he bounded around the place singing "Rat-man" to the theme from Batman.
We had a house in Iwamizawa, too. |
