Webmaster Note:
Thanks to Bro. Koji Sue for bringing E. Kawakami's passing to our attention-also for finding Internet blog entries giving some background about his life:

Kawakami Hiroshige became a church member while in grade school in Himeji (Hyogo Prefecture). After his Sendai mission he also served as bishop in Himeji. He was on the board of directors of a member-owned company called 'Nippon Living' at the time of his death at age 44 in December 2009.

If you have have digital pictures of him in his mission days, or can help complete his mission profile (areas served, companions, etc.) please contact me using a "Comments" entry. Thanks.
