Alan Ralph Williams

Alan R. Williams passed away June 9, 2008 due to complications with diabetes.

Alan was born on December 18, 1967. He was a good student, earned his Eagle Scout award and graduated from Alta High School, and the University of Utah with a degree in accounting.

He served a mission for the LDS Church in Sendai, Japan. Alan married Holley Rae Boren of Vona, Colorado on July 17, 1996 in the Salt Lake Temple, shortly after she graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy. They lived in Pensacola, FL; Virginia Beach, VA; Fort Walton Beach, FL; Palmdale, CA and Sandy, UT.

Alan was a kind, fun loving person, devoted to his wife and children. He loved taking care of his children and spending time with his family, especially at a park, hiking and playing games. Alan served in a variety of church callings and particularly enjoyed working with the youth. He was very generous with his time, always volunteering to help others. He was a thoughtful, loving son and brother and friend.

Alan is survived by his wife, Holley; his three children, Mackenzie, Logan, and Joelle; his sisters Elizabeth (Ron) Brown, Rebecca (Billy) Sinclair; his brother Daniel; many loving nieces and nephews; and his parents Gad and DeAnn Williams.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at the Granite 2nd Ward Chapel, 9245 South Quail Run Drive(2360 E.), Sandy. Friends may visit with the family Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy or from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the services at the ward.
