| Aloha everyone,
I just had a mini reunion in my backyard with Seki Kyodai and Shimai of Takasaki Ward. I served there 16 years ago, Takasaki being my bean area, in 1995. We looked through my old mission photo albums and reminisced about old friends. They updated me on many of the faces they recognized from the pictures, 2 in particular that put a big smile on my face. Suzuki Atusko, an investigator in my time, was baptized, as was her husband and child/ren. And Kimiko Sekiguchi, also an investigator while I lived in Takasaki, is also an active member of the Takasaki Ward. WOW! That really made my day. We enjoyed Spam musubi, fresh cherries and cantaloupe and some Japanese songs on my 'ukulele. Tanoshikatta!!
