| Comments: Prayer for Simple Things I pray for the joys of simple things, Bluebells that nod... a sea that sings... Beauty of earth in the warming sun... Peaceful repose when day is done. I pray for a stretch of summer sky Filled with bright clouds, a rainbow arched high... Prolific rye near a country lane... The smell of damp earth, the scent of rain. I pray for a homelife, warm and sweet... Tree's gentle shade... a child's dancing feet... Good books to read in the quiet of day... Friends who would stop as they pass my way. But most of all, to lighten the load, I would have love along life's road! -Lea Palmer | |
