| Due to faulty architectural design, whenever it rained in Namon, the water ran directly through the bottom of the window sill and down the walls of our bedroom. This led to a buildup of mold and mildew on the walls, which spread quickly, was foul smelling and even worse to look at. Elder Schulz--the Choco-Pie king of Taejon mission at the time--used the box tops from his choco-pies as wallpaper to cover the mess on our walls. He ate so many cartons of Choco-Pies that we had almost the entire room covered in our new wallpaper before long. Then President Hong found it. He praised our ingenuity, but made us take it down and use real wallpaper. To my knowledge, the window was never repaired. I have pictues, but no scanner. Someday I'll put them in here. | |
