While serving in the Marshall Islands, my companions and I worked hard to reach out to the people in creative ways. The church was very young at the time and we established a Scouting troop #950 as one way of fellowshipping. Since then I have continued my love for Scouting by becoming a professional.
I was one of the unfortunate few who served during the 18 month missions of the early '80's. When I arrived in the MGM, the mission was purging the remaining 2-year missionaries and at one point we had only 24 elders in the entire mission (sister missionaries were not allowed in MGM at the time). I spent my entire mission in Rita, Majuro, Marshall Islands. |
