| I got my first greenie and wanted to break him in with a member phony investigator prank. It was done to me and ended really well. So I had the bishop of our ward play along. I took my new companion to his house and we had a first discussion. The gist of it would be that we would commit him to attend church, he agrees, then in the priesthood meeting my greenie would see him and have a good laugh. Instead it backfired. After the discussion my greenie was really touched by the discussion and started to cry. I thought, oh no I wasnt expecting this. We went with it still. When we got back the bishop left a message on the machine saying "Elder Craig you gotta tell him the truth." I told my companion and he felt betrayed more than anything. He told me that he would then have to look in the membership directory prior to every appointment. It took awhile but I gained his trust and respect back. Moral of the story watch the greenie break in pranks or else you might end up with the cake in your face |
