Comments:
Jean Lea and I were married in the Washington, DC Temple 7 Feb 1981. We have 8 children (3 boys and 5 girls). Our oldest son is 28 and our youngest son will be 12 in April. Mark, our oldest son, is married and has 3 children and expecting number 4 in May. Stephanie, our oldest daughter, is married and lives outside of Atlanta. Susan graduated from UF (Go Gators) and is living in Jacksonville, Fl., Sarah is still living at home after receiving her AA from the local Community College, Logan just made his 15 1/2 month mark in the Arizona Mesa Mission. Emily will 15 in March and is enjoying Seminary. Allison is 13 and keeps us all entertained. Bryce will be 12 in April and apparently was born knowing everything there is to know. Jean Lea is teaching early morning Seminary again after a few years as the Stake Seminary Supervisor. I'm was released as Bishop of the Lake City First Ward, Lake City Fla. Stake back in November of 2009. I was blessed to serve for nearly 7 years. I am now serving on the Stake High Council. I own a land surveying buisness in Lake City. Owning a buisness, 8 kids, seminary and Stake calling. I guess we are kind of busy. I have toured back through part of the mission with my family in '87, '04 and '06. I was able to visit with my third companion, Doug Macdonald, while in the Billings area. It was great to see the Temple though our schedule did not allow a session. I was saddened to see that many of the Reservation areas I served in no longer have active Branches and the buildings are closed. So many wonderful memories. This old Florida boy fell in love with the people and the mission area. I am still hoping to find more of my companions here someday. I hope that we will be able to travel again someday, but with Land Surveying largely tied to Real Estate, the prospects do not look good right now. We are blessed to still have a buisness, but it seems we are barely hanging on. Lots prayers and paying tithing.
