She is so excited about the discussions. She's already introduced us to about 6 of her friends in about 3 days. We are doing a lot of "lacing" from her."

They gave us a member referral and we baptized their friend. Now we are teaching the friend's daughter. O how beautiful is the Lord's work. Happiness for us all."

Elder Shewell/Bond - Brooklyn Deaf - Aug 14, 1994 - "SIGN LANGUAGE CONVERTED GRANDMOTHER - Last week we taught a referral by the name of Gerard Kelly who is 12 years old, lives with his Grandparents so he can attend Deaf School. His Grandma knows very little sign language. She watched us teach him and then asked "Are you talking about God?" She then wanted to join in and we taught them both the 1st Discussion and invited her to pray and read the B of M and ask if it is true. She said that her prayers had already been answered, as she wanted her grandson to learn about God. The field is white and ready to reap."

Sister Nilsson/Reynolds - Staten Island Sp - Aug 15, 1994 - "LACING - Through lacing we met and taught a 1st Discussion to an incredible man this week. The spirit was so powerful during the discussion, my best teaching experience ever so far. I could literally feel the converting power of the spirit changing hearts and touching souls. When the investigator looked us in the eyes and told us he knew that JS was a Prophet and the B of M was true, because he could feel it, my eyes filled with tears, all I could do was thank HF for being able to teach the Truth and have Him confirm it."

Sister Reynolds/Nilsson - Staten Island Sp - Aug 15, 1994 - "LACING OFF INVESTIGATORS - We taught a referral from some other investigators we were teaching. I have never heard a 1st Charla flow from someone's lips as great as it did from Hermana Nilsson's mouth. He was so golden, everyone was on the edge of their seats with the spirit so powerful! He knew everything was true. Words cannot express how we felt when we left. We got into the car and then we both screamed at the top of our lungs, because that's all we could do to express our excitement and the way we felt."

Elder Jeffries/Atwood - DL - Bushwick 1 - Jul 10, 1994 - "LACING OFF CONVERTS - There is no greater feeling than having someone I care for so much get baptized. Vilma is such a sweet soul and it made me so happy. She was a lace off one of our other baptisms. Now other missionaries are teaching her sister and her sister's friend."
