My Name is Fantahun Beerarra (Birarra). I am from Ethiopia residing in the U.S. with my wife Mulualem and children: Shilmat, Melhiq and Bereket now 29, 27, and 24 respectively.
I worked for and served in Mekane Yesus in Dessie and Addis Ababa before I emigrated to and requested political asylum in the U.S. in 1987. My wife and our three children (7, 5, and 3 at the time) joined me in 1990. We all are citizens now.
While working and raising a family, I went through various schools, earning a B.Th. and an MA in Theology. I have been traveling more than ten times back and forth to Ethiopia and only once to Kenya as a missionary. God willing, I would like to come to Norway and not only visit your beautiful country but give thanks to your people who have helped my country in many ways and to my dear and beloved Norwegian family, Svein and Brita Nelson who were missionaries in Dessie with me and a few other brethren.
