After returning home I went straight to College. It did not take me long to meet and propose to my wife. We have now been married for 20 years. We have 4 wonderful kids, the oldest - Justin, just entered the MTC this last week to serve his Mission in the Brazil, Manaus Mission. After the news yesterday from President Monson of the age change for missionaries, I now have two daughters whose eyes light up with the thought of serving. We have lived in Idaho, Michigan, Indiana and now Virginia. I am in the Rivanna Ward of the Waynesboro Stake and currently serve as the High Priest Group Leader.
I learned so much on my Mission and treasure those memories. Ironically, the company I work for is based out of Oklahoma City and so I get an opportunity to return often. Mission memories flood every time I am there.
I am so grateful for the companions who endured me, my kids tell me I am an acquired taste and that I can be a bit stubborn and demanding. I hope that when my old companions tell mission stories that they do not cringe at the thought of the time they spent with me. |
