Comments:
Miss my old companions...even miss “tracting”. You were unforgettable! Some hilarious memories for sure, but precious ones, too, when hearts were softened and the door stayed open.

I still maintain that Astoria, Oregon winter weather presents the worst door-knocking conditions possible, as rain & sleet combine with wind off the Pacific forming a layer of ice everywhere. Elder Ballard and I would be hunched over, rocking from foot to foot, knocking away with numb knuckles...but we still smiled as the door opened!

Retired from business and teaching, but I still tutor reading skills to struggling readers. Also, am part-time care provider with an agency to do more good in the community and supplement income. Char is fully retired, and glad.

Chaplain of VFW Post 1527 and Padre of the motorcycle club there as well. I love rubbing shoulders with my comrades (some are ‘Nam Vets, like me) and I’ve always liked motorcycles, so it’s good duty. I offer prayers at different events and have made my Honor Flight to Washington, DC. What a meaningful, moving trip.

Been a ward, stake, or member missionary ever since my FT mission...can’t stop studying the scriptures and church doctrine. Taught institute students from local colleges. Today’s online library and media resources blow me away! We’ve come a long way since the 5 pound “quad”, right brethren?

Still love guitar, harmonica, and singing...amateur for sure.

Anyway, hoping to reconnect with companions and mission friends from the good old days (!) — back when Brinkerhoff and Fackrall were riding the range as APs, back when you could disconnect the odometer, back when platform-elevated shoes were in, and I was a dang Greenie...and new member myself, mind you. What an adventure!

Hey, anybody got a copy of the Oregon Mission Song (Sound of Music melody)? The lyrics were so cool.

Luv ya, Elders and Sisters from the world’s best mission, “1” at the time in baptisms. Right? Wow.

Elder Miller from Michigan
