I grew up in Elkton Ward, coming to Newark at age nine. When I was a senior in high school, Elkton Ward moved into the new stake center and became Newark Ward. I passed through there a few times during college, and for about a year and a half after.
I moved to the Raleigh, North Carolina area from fall 1998 to spring 2002. I got to see the temple there rise up out of the ground, as I lived across the street from the temple site at the time. I came back to Newark for several months before taking a job with New Castle County and getting an apartment near work that put me in Wilmington West Ward.
In February 2004 I met Alisa Yarber of Sunnyside, Washington online. I flew out to see her the next month and we were engaged. We married in August in the Columbia River temple.
Right now I'm stake membership clerk and ward website administrator. |
