Susie and I are in the process of adopting from China. We submitted our dossier in August '06 and now we're waiting (not so patiently) for our referral. Susie has a blog detailing our adventure and would welcome comments.

Alyssa is my daughter from my first marriage and she is now with us on a full time basis with the exception of an extended weekend every other week. She is really excited to have a baby sister around. She's just about to finish 4th grade and I can't believe that she's almost 10 years old!
I was working as a Chaplain for a local hospice for the past few years and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. However, the salary was not allowing Susie to stay home which we both felt was very important now that Alyssa is with us and we are preparing for another child. So I've taken a leap of faith and I'm working with NASE (National Association for the Self Employed) to sell Health and Life Insurance to Small Business owners (and employees) and those that are self employed. I really feel good about this since I'm helping to provide a service to the people who get hosed (technical term for taken advantage of) by the insurance companies.

Yes - I still have my Jeep (the only original parts left are the grill, hood, dash and steering wheel) and I enjoy taking my family to Moab and other areas to enjoy our beautiful outdoors. |
