I was one of the first missionaries to serve in Trujillo when it was part of the Andes Mission. I served with Elders McDonald, Hatch, Barfuss and Romero and was present for the first 16 baptisms in the Trujillo branch during the period from January-May, 1961. I married Sister Ruth Jordan, who also served in the Andes Mission. We are currently serving in the New Jersey Morristown Mission in a Spanish branch and served a previous mission in India from 1998-2001. My foreign service career took us to Brazil, Peru (Arequipa), Thailand, Venezuela and India. Trujillo was my first area and holds a special place in my life. |
