My wife, kids and I have been back to the philippines several times. My son served in the Quezon City Mission and ran into one of my companions there ( Elder Jakihaca) . In 2007 I took my parents children and inlaws back to Davao. It was wonderful. We stayed at Paridise on Samal Island. July of 2009 my wife, son, a friend and I returned again. Believe it or not , their is a McDonalds and several other places to eat now. For those who want to know what I think it is like there now, give me a call. It is son nice and peaceful compared to when we once roamed the streets. Got pictures. Keith Hicken |
