| Comments: I used to be one of Uncle Sam's Misguided Children (USMC). I did one tour in Iraq and two tours in Japan. I guess it wasn't a complete loss because I did get back to the PI twice while I was in Japan with the Marines. It was good to be back in the PI even though I didn't get to visit the mission. We also had a mission there but it wasn't saving souls. We were training the Philippine Marines how to shoot our big guns (155 mm). Liberty in Subic sucked. We weren't allowed to go anywhere else. I did get to go back last Sep. on my own dime after I got out of the Corps. It always feels like I'm coming home when I get back to the PI. | |
