April Mission Reunion 17 Dec 2004
Hey All,

I wanted to let everyone know that President Gaviola will be here in April for General Conference. We will be having a mission reunion on Friday April 1, 2005. We will likely hold it in Kaysville again, unless anyone has a different suggestion.

I wanted to get the word out right now, so that we might have a great turnout! So call up your old comps and batch mates and let them know! If anyone has any questions or suggestions, please feel free to let me know.

I hope everyone has a great holiday season.

update on typhoon 02 Dec 2004
I'm not meterologist, but judging from the coordinants of the most recent update of the "eye" and also given it's current trajectory, I'm estimating the eye will pass VERY, VERY close to Aritao, Dupax, and Bambang!!! I don't know how the topography of all the mountains will affect it though, but Mary Ann says it is REALLY strong at Echague which is about 2.5-3 hours north of that area.

Typhoon Nanmadol 02 Dec 2004
The Philippines is being hit by the STRONGEST TYPHOON in nine years! They haven't even recovered from the typhoon that hit last week that caused massive flooding and mudslides. All I know is that many of the Saints in Echague, Isabela have gathered at the Church to wait the storm out. There is no electricity there either. My best guess is that the eye of the typhoon will cross over Nueva Ecijia and/or Nueva Viscaya. For current weather information visit http://www.wunderground.com/hurricane/wp200430.asp.

Please keep the Filipinos in our prayers! They are not equiped to be able to handle the situation. Their resources are already stretched to the limit! I don't know what we can do to help other than to pray. It will be interesting to see how it all looks in three weeks when I go back to the Philippines to pick up Mary Ann.

One of the MANY news articles is found here http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5744,11572680%255E2703,00.html.
There are many, many more out there. I guarantee those estimates are WAY off! After Hururot in July 2003, I KNOW those estimates are wrong! The town of Aurora, Isabela didn't know for WEEKS what the extent of the damage was OR how many people were killed or injured.

So please, just pray for the people we have grown to love!

I am still single, but i have been dating a girl for 8 months now. I am officially a menace to society because i just turned 25 today. I graduate from byu-idaho in 2 weeks in sociology and criminology. Im thinking about graduate school or starting my own bussiness. I see alot of Ilagonites up here at school like Elder Stander, Simon, Schofield, Mower, stucki, and a few others. Well take care , Jorgensen

Where are all the missionaries from 1999-2001? 30 Nov 2004
Hello Superstars, how is everyone doing today. Where are all the Elders/Sister that I grew to love or to tolerate? Maybe all of my Ilagan generation have too important of lives to write on this, or we are all so amazingly cool that we don't have time to write about how many times we have won Halo. Life on the mean streets of Spanish Fork, Utah has been great for myself. I am in school still working for my degree in History Education and my minor in Business Education. I have been married for about nine months and everything is amazing. My wife and I are ward missionaries, but we haven't had any baptisms yet in our ward. (I think there are like 15 non-members in our area). So how is life for anyone else that I know in the missionary land? Later Skaters, Your Mother and I are praying for you.

BE AN AIESEC INTERNATIONAL TRAINEE! 24 Nov 2004
I'm a member of AIESEC UPD. This is one of our more important aims in the orgnization.

If you (1) are in the Philippines, (2) graduated with at least a Bachelor's degree, (3) and want to visit another part of the world . . .

BE AN AIESEC INTERNATIONAL TRAINEE!

Features of the AIESEC Program:
* Paid, full-time positions that are arranged and secured before you leave the country.
* Year-round positions that last from 8 weeks to 18 months.
* In-depth cultural preparation before leaving and re-integration upon your return.
* A comprehensive reception program providing personal attention throughout your stay.

International Trainees Recruitment period of AIESEC in University of the Philippines will be from November 15 until December 9, 2004. If you apply and get accepted, this is your chance to be immersed in a foreign culture, and we assure that you will have an unforgettable experience. Not only will you gain personal development in the challenge of living in and embracing a different culture, you will also most surely achieve professional development and skills, what with the training to be given to you in an international work environment.

AIESEC can give you a chance to be employed in GOOD companies in any of the 84 AIESEC member countries all over the world!

This year we are specifically looking for people who can do Development traineeships (DT) i.e. NGO/ social work, Educational traineeships (ET) i.e. English, French teaching (basically, language and subjects teaching) and Technical Traineeships (TT) i.e. web development, database programming and the like. We also have Management Traineeships (MT) – those focusing on marketing, finance or accounting work in companies like DHL, HP, Kraft and others.

Need to know more?
What distinguishes AIESEC from a job placement agency? Our focus is cultural development and understanding (professional development is just a big bonus) so we guarantee that once you are in your country of destination, AIESECers there will tour and guide you in their country. They will help you understand their culture, and you in turn would acquaint and/or help them understand our country, The Philippines.

I know you are interested! Register online! Send an email to sitti_lytes15@yahoo.com or join snpotentials_upd@yahoogroups.com.

Registration period from November 15 until December 9 only. you can also text or call us for further questions, just refer to contact details given below.

All your concerns and/or questions can be addressed by the information uploaded at the mentioned egroup, and you could always ask Sitti ü

Happy Holidays 19 Nov 2004
It has been a while since I have posted anything on the site. I check it a couple times a week though.
Just an update. Monica and I are doing great. Harley will be 3 in a month and Eliza is now 15 months old. Time sure goes by fast with the little ones keeping us so busy.
Harley loves princesses and all the Disney movies so we will be spending our Thanksgiving Holiday in Southern Cali. We are going to take the kids to Disneyland. Harley is so excited thats all she can talk about. I even think that Eliza will have a blast.

Coy, we will be back in town so when you come out for Christmas give me a call. We'd love to see you guys.

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season.
