LECHE FLAN

5 Egg Yolks

1 can Condensed Milk

1 can Evaporated Milk (170g.)

1/2 teaspoon Vanilla

4-5 tablespoons Sugar (for syrup)

We would use old tuna cans as custard pans. Put about 2 tablespoons granulated Sugar into each pan. Place pans on slow flame until sugar melts and turns brownish-stir constantly, don't burn. Spread melted sugar syrup evenly in pans, let cool. Mix other ingredients and add to custard pans. Cover and steam for 30-45 minutes. [We would stack the cans in a pot of boiling water and cover-just don't have the water getting into the custard!] Invert on serving plate; serve cool for dessert.
