OK. My emotions are not as raw as they were during my last update....
My divorce from my abusive husband is almost within grasp. It was scheduled for March 27th, but I have a microbiology test. I couldn't get to the divorce hearing in Colorado and back to Iowa for my test in time. The final divorce hearing will probably be scheduled during my spring break which is the week of April 9th.
I'm working full time and going to school full time. Whew!! Online classes are so much more work.
Nursing school has been great. I've learned so much. I had to drop out of the winter nursing program and re-enroll for the summer 07 program. I was going to miss too many days going back and forth to Colorado for divorce hearings and such. My nursing instructor said that I wouldn't be able to pass the clinicals if I missed that many days. So I am taking classes that will transfer to a Masters Nursing Program at the University of Iowa. If I'm accepted into that program, I'll be moving to Iowa City this fall. I'll graduate in May 2009.
I'm serving as the 1st counselor in the Primary Presidency. I'm enjoying that. Being a member in the presidency rather than a teacher allows me to go to Sunday School which I thoroughly enjoy.
Some days are still hard. I never thought that I would be divorced. But being alive and divorced is much better than my previous situation.
I hope that anyone that can will attend the mission reunion later this month. I'm hoping to be able to attend. |
