Here's a poem submitted by Bro. Jim Lee about the 10 year anniversary of the creation of the mission.
Romania Bucharest Mission Reunion
1993 - 2003
Through missionary service, the gospel has been spread
To the Romanian people,
As by the Spirit led.
At first, it was a struggle, so many claimed to be
Christians for 2000 years,
Who walked with dignity.
But through the humble efforts of missionaries there,
Many hearts were softened,
Through humble earnest prayer,
And many came to realize the blessings of the Lord
As they were taught the Gospel which
Again has been restored.
The keys and powers of heaven have brought them blessings, too,
Through Temple covenants they have made,
Which help them to be true.
And you and I, Gods servants, were blessed to be a part
Of their conversion stories,
They treasure in their heart.
Oh may the things weve shared with them live on in heart and soul,
To cheer and bless and gladden,
And help them reach their goal
Of gaining life eternal, with friends and family,
With children and grandchildren,
And their posterity.
And may our humble efforts be magnified in time,
As the Romanian people
Share Fathers love sublime
With all their friends and neighbors, and their own family,
Who are Gods sons and daughters,
His true posterity.
Oh what a glad reunion were sharing here today,
As Fathers sons and daughters
Who chose to here obey
The calling of a Prophet in these the latter days,
To serve in Romania,
To teach them Heavens ways.
But oh the joy awaiting the glad reunion there,
When we and those weve humbly taught
Come forth so God may share
His love and also gratitude for all weve said and done,
To glorify The Father,
And His Beloved Son.
Praise God and His Beloved Son for having such a plan,
To cheer and bless and gladden,
And help ennoble man.
And may we go on sharing His glorious gospel here,
With all of Fathers children,
Who to His heart are dear.
