A few years after my mission I married the love of my life Patty and we now have 5 children. As our 10th anniversary approaches (August 8th), it is fun to look back on how much we've accomplished. We have twin sons, Craig and Kavyn, who turned 9 in April. Our two daughters Bethany, who will be 8 in November, and Saydee who is 3 years old are simply a joy. Our newest baby Brian will turn 1 in August. My wife keeps pretty busy taking care of the kids, running half marathons, and keeping me in line. I completed an MA and Ph.D. in Sociology at the University of Washington. I specialized in sociology of religion. I have been teaching at BYU-Idaho since 2006 and we are very much enjoying living in Rexburg (http://emp.byui.edu/ABELM/). I am discovering how much of a crossroads this university is. So far, I've met the child of my dad's old girlfriend and his best friend (yeah his girlfriend and best friend are now married), and even an unknown (to me) 2nd cousin. I suspect I will have a chance to meet many of your children in another decade or so. If you are ever in town, please call. Yellowstone and Jackson Hole are not too far away and we have a guest bedroom if you need a place to stay. |
