Hard to believe I haven't joined this up until now!
I was one of the 4 "Ukraine expelled" Elders who served the rest of their mission in St. Pete in 1994 after extended visa trouble. (The whole Kiev mission was in visa trouble at the time.) So I was only in St. Pete for 6 mos, but they were some of the best mos. of my life! (Except for the part about the sun being up for only a few hours in the winter mos...that was hard.)
I graduated from BYU with my Russian minor (EE major). I've been blessed with a beautiful wife and the 3 best kids ever! My wife and I are travelling to St. Pete on June 29 as a part of our 10-year anniversary! We are so excited!
Since BYU I've been living in Boise, Idaho, which has been nice these 8 years. I've got about the best calling right now as Assistant Scoutmaster, so hopefully that doesn't change anytime soon. :-) |
