Young Adult Conference 19 Oct 2003
This August we had Young Adult Conference. 9th August was the last day of the Young Adults Conference. And I really can say it was the awesome conference. There were 65 people from Khabarovsk, Nakhodka, Ussurisk, Magadan and Vladivostok at this conference. We waited 100 people but some people had not money for tickets. We had a lot of funny things. For example at 1st day of the conference we could not wash dirty plates because our kitchen sink did not work at all. All dirty water was at the sink and did not want to go out. So Stas and I decided to clean this stupid sink because nobody wants to become dirty. It was terrible smell at etc. Stas said that he never had a deal with pipes. I decided to fix it. In 2 min I was dirty but I fixed this stupid pipe. I never thought that I could make it just by myself. So now you see that I have talent to fix pipes. Hahaha Our Talent Show was amazing. I wish you will be there and see everything. We had 20 people that took part at this show. For every person that had concert number we had a joke. After show sister Oswald said that she did not know that I have a talent to make people laugh. 8th August we had service project at the hospital. When we came there we were separated on small groups (5-6 people). Every group got a boss. Our boss was old babushka. She works at this hospital. She was very angry old lady. She said so terrible things to us. She told that we are betrayers of our country because we are at the American Church. She told that we are Satan's kids and etc. Some girls did not want to listen her rude words. So only Marina and I stayed with this "polite" babushka. She gave so dirty place for us. She said that we have 4 hours to make this place shine. And we did make this place shine in real. When babushka came she said that she changed her mind about us. She said that we are her "sonleshki". Good service can changed people minds. After our service we all were at the hall of this hospital. We decided to sing a hymn "I am child of God" for doctors of this hospital. When we began to sing our voices were like one voice. It was so amazing! We all felt like one person. We felt that Jesus was with us! Small boy came during our singing and he just stood there and looked at us with so BIG eyes. He was about 4-5 years old. And then he began to smile. I think that we never forget smile of this kid. As for me I will never forget.
