Samoa Apia Mission Report - September, 2015 to April 2, 2016

Missionaries: We currently have @ 200 missionaries, with an expected compliment of 230. We have missionaries serving from all over: Australia, New Zealand, Tonga, Utah, Oregon, California, Arizona, Hawaii, Nevada, Virginia, and of course Samoa😊

The work: missionaries are on all the islands of Samoa, with full time missionaries living and serving on Aunuu, Manono, and Manu'a. On Manu'a, we have 2 elders serving in Ta'u and Faleasau, 3 sisters serving in fitiuta, and 2 elders and 2 sisters serving on Ofu and Olosega. Nine missionaries total serving in Manua. On Manu'a, they have district meetings weekly and a zone meeting once a month. My wife and I travel there monthly for zone conference and interviews.

Joy: Manua - When the first companionship arrived in Fitiuta 5 months ago, there was one member who attended their Sunday service. Last Sunday, there were 30 at church. Last Saturday, they had a baptism of a family of 6, all young men, father and mother. Once again, the priesthood is alive and active on Manu'a.

The Limutaus have been called by President Lotulelei, stake president, to serve as the branch President for Manu'a.

On Ofu and Ta'u, President Lotulelei has approved a sacrament Sunday school service, which is conducted by the missionaries.

President Lotulelei has an incredible vision for Manua and is driving the work in the building of Our Fathers Kingdom, together with president and sister Limutau.

Last month March, we welcomed 145 new members who accepted The Saviors invitation to Follow Him into the waters of Baptism. A joyous occasion!

Preach My Gospel: We are a preach My Gospel Mission with Zone conferences, Zone meetings and District meetings focused on preach my gospel....driving us missionaries to teach repentance and baptize converts. At the end of each zone conference, we all go out on a blitz to find one new investigator and teach one lesson, minimum, returning and reporting our findings and experience. Amazing!

Now that you're home, stay committed to His work - As return missionaries, may we stay committed to His work by having a goal and plan, preach my gospel, to bring one soul unto him each and every year, forever. Having such a goal will help you to stay close to the spirt and true to your covenants.

Grateful for each one of you returned missionaries and your loving dedicated service to Our Savior, among the Samoans during your time, where your service has been a wonderful blessing to all of us missionaries today, who are now reaping where you have sown.

God bless each of us as we continue to move His work forward.
