Elder Nyal Bodily Obituary 16 Sep 2009
Below is the obituary for Elder Bodily who was tragically killed in a car accident this weekend. He and Elder Moore opened the Slovenija mission in 1990. He will be greatly missed.

Nyal Clair Bodily 1967 ~ 2009 Nyal Clair Bodily was born to Darlene Hanks Bodily and Clair S Bodily on September 9, 1967. He was raised in Orem, Utah with his brothers, Rand, Ryan and Jared Bodily. After high school Nyal served an honorable mission from 1990-1992 in Slovenia where he shared the glad tidings of the gospel for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was sealed for time and all eternity to the love of his life Katie Rose Lythgoe of Thousand Oaks, California in the Los Angeles LDS Temple, on March 18, 1994. Nyal and Katie were blessed with four beautiful sons, Noah Hanks, 13, Jacob Nyal, 11, Carter Hansen, 8, and Adam Wesley, 5. Nyal was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish, tend to the family garden and be with his sons on scout trips. Nyal enjoyed traveling with his wife Katie too and always looked forward to their weekly date nights, even if it just was popcorn and a movie. On Saturdays, he could be found at the sidelines proudly watching his boys play soccer. An accomplished guitarist, Nyal loved all genres of music. He passed this love onto his son, Noah, who is now learning the guitar. After graduating from Northern Arizona University, Nyal furthered his education at Willamette University in Oregon where he studied law. Nyal was an attorney at the law offices of Esplin Weight in Provo, Utah where he upheld and protected the laws of the land he loved. Nyal was deeply committed to his testimony of the gospel and showed it in the way he served and loved his family and others. He led by example and taught his sons the values of honesty, hard work and Priesthood responsibility. His family will miss his wit, big hugs, and the twinkle in his eye. Nyal was taken from this earthly life as the result of a car accident before our hearts were ready on September 11, 2009. How grateful we are for the knowledge we will have our father, husband, son and brother back someday because of the ordinances of the temple.
